DR. WAYNE RAWCLIFFE
My career has focused on working with managers like you to achieve your aspirations, to grow you team, and to develop the potential in your employees. For over 30 years, I have worked to improve individual, team and organizational performance at all levels of leadership in public, private and not for profit sector organizations by implementing organizational improvement initiatives.
My MBA and doctoral studies has greatly enhanced my skills as a business educator. Currently I teach at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University and am a sessional instructor in the organizational behaviour and human resources division at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. Working with other industry professionals, academics, and world class researchers to teach young business students from around the world is an amazingly rewarding experience. There is a lot we can learn from the next generation of managers and leaders.
Strong communities form the foundation of a strong, compassionate society. Over the span of my career I have been involved in many community organizations and am currently involved in a Social Enterprise venture that helps youth recovering from mental illness to achieve skills and education that will lead to their independence.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, I settled in Vancouver after living in the UK, eastern and central Canada and considers this city one of the most beautiful in the world. When I am not working on my business, teaching, traveling, or volunteering I spend my time with my partner of 20 years, two dogs, Gimli a neurotic whippet and Chesus the crazy whippet.
