Speaking to managers like you about how to become even better at what you do, helping to grow you team and develop the potential in your employees, gives me incredible satisfaction. My experience in improving individual, team and organizational performance has been with all levels of leadership in public, private and not for profit sector organizations by implementing organizational improvement initiatives.

Teaching has always been part of my work life. I currently lecture at both the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University and the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia. It is exciting to work with young business students from around the world. There is a lot we can learn from the next generation of managers and leaders.

Being involved in the community has always been important to me. Over the years I have been involved in many community organizations and am currently involved in a Social Enterprise venture that helps youth recovering from mental illness to achieve skills and education that will lead to employment.

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, I settled in Vancouver after living in the UK, eastern and central Canada and considers this city one of the most beautiful in the world. When I am not working on my business, teaching, traveling, or volunteering I spend my time with my two dogs, Gimli a neurotic whippet and Chesus the crazy whippet.
